Middle School Girls Cybersecurity Camp


The Middle School Girls Cybersecurity Camp will be held June 19 to June 30th, 2017 at the Mount Vernon Campus of the George Washington University. The Middle School Girls Cybersecurity Camp is a two-week, all inclusive summer program at the Mount Vernon Campus of the George Washington University in Washington, DC based on US government funding from the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation. The program is available, without charge, to girls in middle school who have interest in learning about the world – in all areas but specifically in science, computers or math as well as developing cybersecurity skills and learning about careers in the cybersecurity workforce. The program includes field trips to the National Cryptologic Museum and the Spy Museum. Moreover, the participants will meet with some of the most prominent members of the cybersecurity field during special guest visits. The girls will also be able to enjoy recreational activities at the Mount Vernon Campus every day.

20 participants will be selected for the program. There is no charge to participants.

The program will run from June 19 to June 30th, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Beforecare will be available from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and aftercare will be available from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily. Check out the tentative daily itinerary to see the program’s activities.
